Capitol Reef National Park (Torrey, Utah)

Capitol Reef is a great National Park for hiking.  There are hikes that can take hours, and ones that can take only a few minutes. It is really beautiful, and a nice perk is it's a free National Park!

The scenery from all around the area

There are several panels of petroglyphs (ancient Indian art)
in the park that are very easy to see

The sign for the hike to this natural bridge said 1 mile.
I guarantee it was AT LEAST 10 miles - uphill!

The hiking trail up to the bridge

Pretty flowers along the way

A cute little lizard

There are a lot of very interesting rock formations along the way

And, finally, the natural bridge! (above and below)

This was another hike I took through some narrows

No telling what this was, but it didn't make  it out of the
narrows alive -- I turned around after I saw this!!

A little bunny looking for some eats

A red robin

A nice little family of deer

They cross the street without looking both ways!

The view from my hotel balcony as the sun
was coming  up -- not bad!
