Temple Square (Salt Lake City, Utah)

I couldn’t visit Salt Lake City, Utah, and not go to Temple Square, home of the Mormon Temple and Mormon Tabernacle.  This beautiful Temple took 40 years to build, yet its highly ornate interior was completed in just a year.

The grounds around the Temple are also beautiful.

This is the Assembly Hall, a Gothic-style building with beautiful stained-glass windows. This building was constructed between 1877 and 1882.

Almost as prominent as the Temple is the domed roof of the Mormon Tabernacle, whose organ and choir are known worldwide.  The Tabernacle organ has been featured in daily organ recitals for nearly 100 years.

The Temple has the most beautiful gardens
I have ever seen –  positively breathtaking!

I have never seen tulips this beautiful!

There were a lot of brides having their pictures
taken around the grounds!

Could I be any more narcissistic?
